TSABONG - As the winter cold sets in, the FNBB Foundation Winter Shoe Drive continued on full speed ahead to bring more smiles to children across Botswana. On 16 May 2016 the Foundation handed over 175 pair of shoes to Struizendam Primary School pupils.
Across 12 locations to reach the corners of Botswana, FNBB Foundation will be handing over 3742 pairs of school shoes this winter. The Shoe Drive is in its second year running after having experienced an incredible reception from Batswana who welcomed the initiative with open arms. Bearing the responsibility as FNB Botswana's corporate social investment machine, the drive is one of many fortunate opportunities the Foundation has taken under its wing to contribute towards sustainable charitable projects.
The shoe drive is underway travelling across Botswana running throughout May 2016 until 1 June 2016. Handovers will be conducted on the below dates;
|Name of School||Date of Handover|
|Kontle Primary School||Completed|
"It is an honour to be a part of bringing a strong positive change to the communities in which we operate. More importantly, our aim is to continuously engage with our communities in as many areas of their lives as possible. We are more than a Bank, we are about people and we hold a collective vision that we need to partner with government in enriching our communities, especially our children," said FNBB Communications Manager, Kemiso Ben.
