KYC

Know-Your-Client (KYC) allows us to verify your identity to prevent and protect you from any fraud and financial crime. By verifying your identity, we will understand your financial needs better and allow us to offer you more personalised, secure banking products and services.

KYC, explained

Not only is KYC a regulatory requirement, it ensures we support you with foolproof banking, compliance and helps us maintain and protect your information. In compliance with the Banking Act, Section 44, and the Financial Intelligence Act of 2022 (FIA), Sections 16, 19, and 20, FNB Botswana is mandated to conduct KYC procedures periodically for all banking clients to ensure that their information is up to date and accurate.

We need to always have the most recent bank-verified documents and information about you, so we can:

  • Keep your account safe and secure
